Calnex announces Paragon-t reducing test times by 75% whilst increasing test coverage

Calnex Paragon-t Edinburgh, Scotland - 16th April 2013 - Calnex Solutions today introduced the Paragon-t for simultaneous measurement of multiple Boundary Clock and Slave Clocks at the Workshop on Synchronization in Telecom Systems (WSTS) conference here today.

LTE is putting stringent stringent demands for precise synchronization (frequency and phase) on the mobile backhaul network requiring support for Sync-E (ITU-T G.8262) and PTP (IEEE 1588v2) synchronization standards. Sync-E and PTP are now incorporated into multiple cards and interfaces making it essential to test multiple interfaces for both frequency and phase simultaneously.

As a result, Calnex developed the Paragon-t for Equipment Manufacturers performing long term Software Regression/ System Verification Testing and for Network Operators needing to qualify equipment during Benchmarking/Acceptance Testing. Save Time, Save on Equipment, Increase Test Coverage.

“As leader in our sector, we are delighted to introduce the Calnex Paragon-t, it allows Calnex to reduce test times by up to 75%, increasing test coverage and reducing the chance of introducing costly defects. Without the Paragon-t, it would take days longer to make the synchronisation measurements required for Sync-E and PTP equipment” said Calnex CEO, Tommy Cook.
