2.1 We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:
2.1.1 Identity Data includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier, and job title.
2.1.2 Contact Data includes business email address and telephone number.
2.1.3 Technical Data internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Calnex website.
2.1.4 Communications Data your communication preferences to allow us to provide communications to you about our products and services.
2.1.5 Submitted Information means information about you that you give us by filling in forms on the website. It includes information you provide when you register to use the website, complete any on-site forms, subscribe to any of our services through the website, search for a product, promotion or survey through the website, and when you report a problem with the website. This category of information may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, depending on your usage of the website.
3.1 For existing customers: we hold information that is required for us to support you in the use of our products and provide you with information about future product development and solutions.
3.2 For potential new customers (leads): we will collect information so that we can contact you with the purpose of marketing our products and solutions to your company.
3.3 For potential employees: we collect information that enables us to connect with you throughout the recruitment process and to assess your match to the applied for position.
4.1 We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it which include the following:
4.1.1 to use data analytics to improve the Calnex website, products/services, marketing, customer relationships and experiences; and
4.1.2 to provide communications to you in respect of our products and services
5.1 We may also share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purpose set out in paragraph 3 above. The following categories of organisation may use your personal data:
5.1.1 our authorised distributors and resellers who have sold you a product or operate in your jurisdiction, for the limited purpose of supporting our own customers.
6.1 Our partners are based outside the UK so their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the UK, as may the hosting arrangements for the website from time to time
6.2 Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:
6.2.1 we will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.; and
6.2.2 where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK, together with data privacy impact assessments.
7.1 We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered, or disclosed.
7.2 In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
8.1 We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
8.2 To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.
9.1 You have the right at any time to:
9.1.1 request access to your personal information (commonly known as a “subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check we are lawfully processing it.
9.1.2 request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
9.1.3 request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).
9.1.4 object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
9.1.5 request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
9.1.6 request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
9.1.7 withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information at any time.
